Children of the Tribes: Premiere Performance and recital by Clarinetist Dr. Elizabeth Crawford.

This solo piece is my most serious composition since 2000. The title comes from a book for children which I have been trying to finish since 2014. Children of the Tribes is close to my heart because it was written on two motifs which I wrote for each of my granddaughter's, during their first year of life. I use them in this piece as an inspiration for my first solo E flat clarinet work (which can also be performed on the B flat instrument).

This solo piece and my soon-to-be-published book are the most important messages I can send to humanity. It is a reflection of my age, experiences, love for melody and love for the child. It is my pathway to hearing their small voices. I believe if there is Peace in the home, there will be peace everywhere.
